Ergonomic Assessment and Implementation

The science of ergonomics centers around accommodating a work environment to the needs of an individual worker. This may include areas such as equipment, tools, workstations and work processes. An ergonomic assessment looks at ergonomic risk factors within the work environment as it pertains to a particular individual or group. Commonly, this may involve assessment of an individual workstation. Typically a formal report follows the assessment and includes findings along with recommendations to improve the ergonomic status of the workstation. Direction and support regarding implementation of these recommendations is also included.
