Maybelle Murphy, BScPT
Maybelle was born and raised in Vancouver, sorry she’s a BC Lions fan! She received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Alberta in 1991. She has worked in sports therapy and orthopedics, in both private and public health care settings.
In 2007 she moved with her husband John and their three children to work at a Physical Therapy clinic in New Zealand for one and a half years. It was an amazing adventure for the whole family.
In 2012 Maybelle took specialized training to work with lymphedema patients and started work with the Breast Health Center at Saskatoon City Hospital providing preoperative education and post-surgical treatment for breast cancer patients. She is very passionate about her work with breast cancer patients and is excited to bring her knowledge and expertise to Nomad Therapies. She also volunteers as a trainer for the Busting With Energy breast cancer Dragon Boat team.
Maybelle loves being active she has bicycled across Canada and completed an Ironman Canada triathlon. She loves to travel and explore new places and is currently working on learning Spanish.
