Melanie Krause, BScKin, MPT
Melanie graduated from the School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016. Prior to that she completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise/Sport Science and Psychology.
As a physiotherapist Melanie’s clinical focus is on adults with neurological disorders, chronic pain, vestibular therapy, balance retraining, and mobile therapy. She has completed post graduate courses in the NDT Model, Bobath Concept, LSVT Big, NOI Pain Science, and a post graduate course from the University of Alberta on Neurological Rehabilitation for Health Care Professionals.
Melanie has been instructing in the School of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Saskatchewan since 2019 with a focus on Foundations Courses and Neurological Physiotherapy. In 2020 she helped pilot NeuroSask: Active and Connected with Dr. Sarah Donkers and Dr. Katherine Knox, leading a seated online exercise classes for individua’s living with neurological conditions which has continued to run into 2024. She has worked with a number of research studies with Dr. Sarah Donkers, furthering research in how neuro-based physiotherapy benefits individuals living with MS.
In her spare time Melanie enjoys teaching fitness classes/aerial arts and educating others on the complexities of human movement.
